Having competed in the sport since 2009, Ritchie's talent and boxing prowess is a testament to his unquestionable dedication, work ethic, and natural skill. Trained earlier on in his career by the late great, Keith Ellis Jr, Ritchie inherited his father's ability, and refined it to best suit his own style. With an unofficial record of 16-0 (4 fights declared N.C due to Ritchie being underage), he is now trained by the veteran boxing trainer Dave Hegarty of Tarneit Boxing Gym. Dwight is now busy preparing for his upcoming bout against experienced contender Ryan Waters.
Below is a highlight video of Dwight Ritchie vs Dean Mikelj II, fought at Team Ellis' Once Upon a Time in Somerton on the 17th of October, 2014, for the vacant Australian Middleweight Championship.
